Overview

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) travel assignment in Cumming, GA. Start date: 10/19/2026. Duration: 13 contract weeks. Weekly pay: $1,658–$1,731 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 12-hour nights on a 12x3 rotation (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). Setting: hospital-based emergency department.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to emergency department patients, including assessment, monitoring, diagnostics, medication administration, and therapeutic interventions within scope.
• Triage and stabilize patients, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with physicians, case management, imaging, laboratory, and ancillary teams.
• Monitor patient status, administer treatments, manage IVs and medications, and perform routine procedures within the ER scope.
• Document patient care and clinical decisions accurately in the electronic medical record; communicate changes in patient condition during handoffs.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, pain management, and patient/family education; adapt care plans as condition evolves.
• Participate in shift handoffs and maintain readiness for rapidly changing clinical scenarios.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience
• Certifications: AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Ability to work a 12-hour night shift schedule (7 PM–7 AM) in a fast-paced ER setting
• No local candidates within 50 miles of the placement location
• Willingness to work required major and minor holidays as part of assignment obligations
